PDRI at ISA in Chicago

Hedvig Ördén of PDRI attended the panel 'The Societal Turn in Intelligence Practices: The Case of Scandinavia'. She presented a paper which explores the changing conditions for informal actors in intelligence oversight, focusing on Swedish journalists.

The research team from the Psychological Defence Research Institute was well represented at the 66th annual convention of the International Studies Association (ISA), held under the theme Reconnecting International Studies.

To highlight the diverse range of events in which PDRI members participated, Elsa Hedling took part in a panel organised by the Nordic International Studies Association titled Past and Future of Nordic International Relations: Celebrating 60 Years of Cooperation and Conflict. She also presented on Gendered Stakes in Hybrid War? The EEAS and Gendered Disinformation.

James Pamment chaired a panel on Psychological and Cognitive Studies on Information Manipulation and participated in a roundtable discussion on Reconnecting Reputation in Public Diplomacy Studies: Rethinking Soft Power and Reputational Security in Dangerous Times.
