Interventions by PDRI-members at NATOs conference on Strategic Communication

At the 10th annual Riga StratCom Dialogue conference, organized by the NATO Strategic Communications COE, over 700 participants attended. Two members of the Psychological Defence Research Institute participated in panels, presenting the following topics:

  1. In the panel "Attribution of Information Influence Activity," James Pamment presented a framework developed for NATO by himself and Victoria Smith. This framework, which is used by companies such as Microsoft, aims to identify malicious behavior online.
  2. In the panel "Communicating the Risk and Achieving Results," Martina Smedberg discussed the impact of the new communicative reality on private business actors and how it has transformed strategic communication over the past decade. Drawing on her experience in media and communication within the private sector and recent discussions with industry representatives, she provided insights into these changes (Working Paper for PDRI in progress).
