The Psychological Defence Research Institute has published a new report in the working paper series titled  "Psychological Defence and Strategic Resilience: North Macedonia’s response to hybrid threats and malign foreign influence and interference". It is authored by Professor Zhidas Daskalovski and Sasho Damjanovski of the Faculty of Security-Skopje, University St Kliment Ohridski-Bitola, North Macedonia. The report underscores the urgent need for resilience against hybrid threats in North Macedonia, as global security dynamics shift in the wake of the Russian military intervention in Ukraine. Utilizing a previously published framework it offers analysis and proposes countermeasures based on a holistic approach. The analysis for example draws attention to societal polarization in the Western Balkans and the intersecting interests of major powers which heighten vulnerabilities to foreign interference.
